In rare cases it may be necessary for you to send your Diagnostic logfiles to asensei so we can take a look and see what's been happening during your workouts.
How do I share my asensei diagnostic logfiles?
To share your asensei diagnostic logfiles from inside the asensei app do the following:
- Hit the menu button in the top right of the Up Next screen.
- On the menu that appears choose My asensei
- Scroll down on the screen that appears and choose Send diagnostics - this will open up an email window with the logfiles as attachments and with some information about the version of asensei of iOS you are using (please take care not to delete this!).
- You may edit the body of the email to add further context. This is really helpful for us to understand the exact issue, so be as precise as you can! For example "my split time targets seem wrong in the BRAIN TRAINING workout performed on 12th December 2022"
- Press the up arrow in the top right to send the information for asensei's engineers to analyse. If there is an error message about the attached files being too large, please see the section below.
Once sent the information will go to our support address at support@asensei.com if you have any questions about the query you can contact us there (or via the support option in the asensei app).
asensei logfiles are too large to send by email - Apple Mail app
If you have performed a lot of workouts with asensei (well done!) then your diagnostic logfiles can be large. The logfiles are attached to an email and if they are too large then you may see an error message saying something like "These attachments may be too large (50.7MB) to send in email. Do you want to use Mail Drop to deliver these attachments using iCloud?"
You should answer yes to this question and the email should send using Mail Drop which basically uploads the attachments to iCloud and shares a link for the recipient to dowload for about a month.
If you don't see the option to send with Mail Drop you must make sure that you have an iCloud account setup, but it doesn't need to be a paid account to use Maildrop and it doesn't count towards your quota either! When the iCloud account is setup on your mobile device and you are using the Apple Mail app you should see the option to deliver with Mail Drop. Follow these instructions from Apple to setup iCloud on your device.
Once iCloud is enabled, Mail Drop should work with any email account that you have setup on your iPhone or iPad so long as you use the Apple Mail app. It will give you the option to use Mail Drop even if using Outlook accounts Gmail accounts or Yahoo accounts for example.
