asensei connects to most Heart Rate Monitors, either via the Concept 2 PM5 or Apple Health and allows you to display your heart rate on our Head-Up Display (HUD) alongside your other stats in the application.
However at the time of writing it is not possible to display your Heart Rate data from the Apple Watch in real-time on the HUD. You can of course view it on your watch as normal during a workout although this is less convenient. To the best of our understanding Apple will only allow 3rd party applications such as asensei to display real-time heart rate data if they have a companion Apple Watch application. As a small company we have to prioritize our development activities and we have not yet been able to create this application. If you'd like to see us connect to Apple Watch or other equipment then please stay informed and help us prioritize by signing up here and you are also welcome to tell us more via support@asensei.com.
asensei does integrate with the Apple Health app so that your workouts are pushed to Apple Health after completion, and they will also appear on your watch activity tracker, it is only live heart rate data from the Apple Watch that we are unable to display at this time.
