When you sign up for asensei connected coaching, you'll have access to the following:
- An online training journal that allows you to collaborate directly with your coaches
- The ability to video record your practice for review by our coaches
- One set of smart (app)arel (app-connected apparel) that motion captures your performance for asensei to analyze and give you feedback
Online Training Journal
Your training journal will become a library of video of you practicing what your coaches have asked you to work on, along with their feedback and discussion with you on how to continously improve. Today, we use Notion as a collaboration platform, allowing you and your coach to upload and share videos together, share audio messages, ask and answer questions, and engage in threaded comments and discussions.
Your journal will be shared with each of your coaches, so not only can they see your progress with them, but they can see your progress with other coaches.
So for instance -- perhaps your rowing coach, Eric Murray, has observed an opportunity to improve how you get your body over your legs in the recovery portion of the stroke. While Eric sees this as an opportunity to improve your rowing, Dr Jena may recognize this as an opportunity to improve your hip mobility. She'll screen your movement to confirm, and then offer mobility exercises that might include resistance bands, kettlebells or simply your body weight, to help you get the gains that Eric has observed. Together, they're working to improve your hip mobility and hip hinge, to improve your overall rowing technique and performance.
Video Recording your Practice
Once you sign up for Connected Coaching with asensei, you'll unlock new capabilities in the app. You'll have the ability to video record yourself as asensei guides you through training sessions, or video record yourself doing something that your coach asked to take a closer look at.
When your practice is finished, your video will be uploaded to your training journal, and your coach will be notified that they have some training to review.
We call it (app)arel - app-connected apparel that captures your posture and movement hundreds of times a second from every possible angle. It's full body motion capture, that gives asensei the ability to look at your movement in miniscule detail, and spot things that your coach previously taught you.
If you're wearing your (app)arel when video recording your practice, we will teach asensei to spot the things your coach saw, so that asensei can bring you real-time feedback EVERY TIME YOU PRACTICE.
Imagine practicing at home on your rowing machine, and hearing the voice of Eric Murray say, "Remember, shins vertical, knees under armpits" just like the feedback he gave you on your video review.
That's our (app)arel technology working in concert with the video feedback you've received.
