Sometimes, particularly after an injury or an extended break from rowing, you might find that the asensei rowing app is setting you goals that are too tough, such as a split time that you can't meet. This article will explain how you can reset those targets and have asensei start to learn your behaviour from scratch, based upon your rowing from the date of the reset. Performing a target reset won't affect your workout history, all of that is safely stored in the asensei cloud.
Reset asensei targets - NEW
You are able to reset the goals that asensei sets you, such as target split times and target distances.
To reset the target data in the asensei app choose MY ASENSEI from the main menu in the top right corner (on older versions of the app hit the Hey asensei [+] button in the bottom left corner of the Up Next conversation screen, then choose My asensei). Then tap the Reset Target Data button and confirm when asked.
This also means you can sign out and in again without losing all of your data.
Note, when you log out of the app or hit Reset Target Data your workout history is not affected, this is always stored in the asensei cloud.
How quickly will asensei learn my capabilities after a target reset?
After a Reset Target Data operation is carried out asensei will very quickly learn your capabilities, and usually within 1-2 workouts your split time targets will be fairly accurate - more workouts will tend to improve the goals.
Reset asensei targets - historical method
Prior to app release 1.16.0 the only way to reset the targets and goals that asensei sets you was to log in and out of the asensei app. When you do this all of the local data used for target setting is deleted and asensei begins to learn your behaviour again - although typically this will happen quite quickly giving good results within a few workouts.
Note, when you log out of the app or hit Reset Target Data your workout history is not affected.
